1900 Indian Head Cent ANACS MS64RD w/ Special Cert. No. |

Here is a beautiful example of the 1900 Indian Head Cent which has been graded MS64RD by ANACS and is encapsulated in the older small white ANACS holder from many years ago. Of the smaller white ANACS holders, one of the earliest varieties was produced with a two-letter and four-digit serial number. The coin here has an unusual two-letter and three-digit serial number which is significantly more rare. Collectors of these early ANACS holders have identified the “XA” letter prefix as being reserved for submissions of coins that were graded at coin shows where ANACS was in attendance. Accordingly, it is possible this Indian Cent was submitted at a major show where it was graded and then given this unusual serial number. The coin is bright red with full cartwheel mint luster, with just a couple of minor carbon flecks that likely keep the piece from a gem uncirculated grade. The holder itself is in excellent condition, especially considering its age. A wonderful mint state red Indian Head Cent in an unusual and rare early ANACS holder.
