| The $20 Gold Double Eagle was the largest denomination of all regular issue United States gold coins. This 1889-S $20 Liberty Gold Double Eagle has been graded AU55 by PCGS and is housed in an old green label holder which is approximately twenty-five years old. The coin has excellent original mint cartwheel luster and just a touch of circulation wear on the higher points of the design. There are also several small marks and hits that appear to be consistent with the assigned grade. An excellent lightly circulated example of the date. |
