1884-CC Morgan Dollar PCGS MS64 "DOILY" SOLD
1884-CC Morgan Dollar PCGS MS64 DOILY
Here is an 1884-CC Morgan Silver Dollar which has been graded MS64 by PCGS and is housed in one of the very rare Doily label PCGS holders. This version of the PCGS holder was only used for a couple of weeks during late-1989 before it was quickly phased out. Accordingly, it has been reported that only a few hundred coins in this style of holder are known to exist today and they are highly sought after by collectors. The Carson City Silver Dollar is bright white and has excellent cartwheel luster. There are some hits and small marks on the coin, particularly on the obverse, but the coin still seems nice for the grade. The two-piece Doily holder is in slightly damaged condition with a crack at the top of the outer stacking ring and a couple of small pieces of the plastic chipped away, leaving the outer ring cracked at the top left corner but at least it is still here. A wonderful example of the Carson City Morgan Silver Dollar in a PCGS Doily label holder!
