1893 Great Britain 1 Pence Maundy PCGS MS63 |

It has been the tradition for several centuries for the United Kingdom's monarch to distribute Maundy Money each year to selected elderly. This 1893 Great Britain
1 Pence Maundy graded MS63 by PCGS comes from a set that had some of the most attractive Maundy coins I have ever seen.
The coin has very colorful and attractive toning with prooflike surfaces and strong luster.
The coin has no major marks or other issues of note and it’s very
surprising that the grade was limited to MS63 as it certainly looks
deserving of much more. The obverse of the coins feature the portrait of Queen Victoria, while the reverse shows the date and denomination topped by a crown.
One of the most attractive Maundy pennies that I have handled. |
