2000-P Goodacre Presentation Sacagawea Dollar PCGS MS68		SOLD

The new Sacagawea Dollar with the obverse designed by Glenna Goodacre debuted in the year 2000. Goodacre received $5000 compensation for her design which she received in the form of 5000 Sacagawea Dollars which were prepared with a special finish. The Goodacre Presentation dollars were minted with specially prepared dies and specially prepared blanks given these first-year golden colored dollar coins a unique look. This example of the 2000-P Goodacre Presentation Sacagawea Dollar has been graded MS68 by PCGS. The coin is a bright golden color with a proof like look over the entire surface of both sides of the coin. The piece appears to be virtually flawless and only a few tiny marks can be found under magnification. Please note that the photos show many fine lines and marks, nearly all of which are on the plastic holder and not on the coin. Goodacre initially had the coins certified by ICG and the original ICG label certifying this coin as number 2679 of 5000 is included. An amazing example of this specially minted first-year Sacagawea Dollar once owned by the designer of the coin.
