1903 Louisiana Purchase Expo McKinley Commemorative Gold Dollar PCGS MS65 |
SOLD |
 |
The first commemorative gold coins issued by the United States were issued for the Louisiana Purchase Exposition held in St. Louis. This example of the 1903 William McKinley Louisiana Purchase Expo Gold Commemorative Dollar has been graded MS65 by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. This gold dollar has bright gold color and strong mint luster. Just a few toning spots are present on the coin, most noticeably on the reverse. A nice gem uncirculated example of this commemorative gold issue. |
