This 1928-S Mercury Dime has been graded AU58 by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. This coin was part of a complete collection of Mercury Dimes that was put together by a long-time collector of the series. The entire set of dimes was housed in an album and was recently graded by PCGS. The coin has most of its original mint luster remaining with just a touch of circulation wear present on the high points of the design. Some light hairlines and marks are present, particularly across Liberty’s cheek. An overall nice example of the date for any collector participating in the PCGS “Everyman” category of the PCGS Set Registry in which mint state coins are not permitted.
