1917-D Mercury Dime PCGS MS62FB |

This 1917-D Mercury Dime has been graded MS62FB by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. The FB designation has been given to this coin as the coin exhibits fully split bands on the reverse which is evident of a strongly struck example. This coin was part of a complete collection of Mercury Dimes that was put together by a long-time collector of the series. The entire set of dimes was housed in an album and was recently graded by PCGS. The coin has an excellent strike and strong mint luster that is only slightly muted by the slight toning and dirty haze on the obverse in particular, likely limiting the numerical grade of the piece. Overall, a pleasing mint state example of the date. |
