1943-D Mercury Dime PCGS MS65 DOILY Gold CAC SOLD
1943-D Mercury Dime PCGS MS65 DOILY Gold CAC
Here is a 1943-D Mercury Dime which has been graded MS65 by PCGS and is housed in one of the very rare Doily label PCGS holders. The coin has also been certified by CAC as being solid for at least the next higher grade by the use of their seldom used gold label CAC sticker. This version of the PCGS holder was only used for a couple of weeks during late-1989 before it was quickly phased out. Accordingly, it has been reported that only a few hundred coins in this style of holder are known to exist today and they are highly sought after by collectors. The coin is bright white and has very strong mint luster on both sides. Only a couple of tiny marks can be found after looking hard for them under magnification and the coin certainly appears to be better than the assigned grade as suggested by the gold CAC sticker. The two-piece Doily holder is also in good condition considering it is over 25 years old now, with just a small chip in the plastic at the bottom of note. Here's your chance to get a bright lustrous gem Mercury Dime in the ultra-rare Doily holder and with the hard to get gold CAC sticker!
