1884-O Morgan Dollar PCGS MS63 "DOILY" |
SOLD |
 |
Here is an 1884-O Morgan Silver Dollar which has been graded MS63 by PCGS and is housed in one of the very rare Doily label PCGS holders. This version of the PCGS holder was only used for a couple of weeks during late-1989 before it was quickly phased out. Accordingly, it has been reported that only a few hundred coins in this style of holder are known to exist today and they are highly sought after by collectors. The coin has light rim toning on both sides and excellent original Mint luster. The obverse toning is a light golden ring around the rim. The reverse color is a bit stronger with golden, orange and blue toning around the rim. Several hits and marks can be found on both sides of the coin, but none are overly distracting. The two-piece Doily holder is in very good condition with only a couple of small inclusions in the plastic that do not affect the integrity of the outer stacking ring which is not broken and remains intact. An overall eye appealing Morgan Silver Dollar in the ultra-rare Doily holder! |
