1943-D Mercury Dime PCGS MS66FB "DOILY" |

 |
Here is a 1943-D Mercury Dime which has been graded MS66FB by PCGS and is housed in one of the very rare Doily label PCGS holders. The FB designation has been given to this coin as the coin exhibits fully split bands on the reverse which is evident of a strongly struck example. This version of the PCGS holder was only used for a couple of weeks during late-1989 before it was quickly phased out. Accordingly, it has been reported that only a few hundred coins in this style of holder are known to exist today and they are highly sought after by collectors. This dime is bright and very lustrous with a faint golden toning across the surfaces of both sides. Just a few tiny marks can be found on the coin under a very close inspection. The two-piece Doily holder is in fair condition with a couple of light cracks in the outer ring, one in the upper left corner and another in the lower right corner of the slab. Despite those cracks, the outer stacking ring is not broken and remains intact. Here's your chance to get a beautiful high-grade Mercury Dime in the ultra-rare Doily holder! |
