1887 Morgan Dollar PCGS MS63 "DOILY" (missing outer ring) |
SOLD |
 |
Here is an 1887 Morgan Silver Dollar which has been graded MS63 by PCGS and is housed in one of the very rare Doily label PCGS holders. This version of the PCGS holder was only used for a couple of weeks during late-1989 before it was quickly phased out. Accordingly, it has been reported that only a few hundred coins in this style of holder are known to exist today and they are highly sought after by collectors. The coin is bright white and has good overall cartwheel luster. There are several small hits and marks on both sides of the coin, typical for the MS63 grade, but nothing too major. There is also a slight bit of haziness on parts of both sides of the coin which becomes evident when the coin is tilted away from the light. Please note that the outer stacking ring of this Doily holder is missing. A decent overall MS63 Morgan Silver Dollar in a PCGS Doily holder! |
