1946-S Walking Liberty Half PCGS MS64 "DOILY"		SOLD

Here is a 1946-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar which has been graded MS64 by PCGS and is housed in one of the very rare Doily label PCGS holders. This version of the PCGS holder was only used for a couple of weeks during late-1989 before it was quickly phased out. Accordingly, it has been reported that only a few hundred coins in this style of holder are known to exist today and they are highly sought after by collectors. The coin is mostly white and has average mint luster for the grade. The strike is slightly weak as is typical for San Francisco Mint issues of this date. The coin also has several small marks and hits on the devices and in the fields which are typical for the grade. A couple of toning spots on the reverse are also worthy of note. The two-piece Doily holder is in excellent condition with an outer stacking ring free of cracks and fully intact. A decent Walking Liberty Half Dollar in the ultra-rare Doily holder!
