1936 Cleveland Half PCGS MS64 CAC |
ON HOLD |
|
The Cleveland Half is one of my favorites in the series and is a relatively low mintage issue in the classic commemorative series. Only 50,030 Cleveland Centennial Great Lakes Exposition Commemorative Half Dollars were minted. The design features Moses Cleaveland on the obverse and an outline of the Great Lakes on the reverse, with several major cities highlighted with stars. This example of the 1936 Cleveland Half Dollar has been graded MS64 by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. The coin has also been certified by CAC
as being solid for the assigned grade. This is an amazing example of the
type with spectacular color on both sides and wonderful original mint
luster. Just a couple of minor hairline scratches in the hair seemingly
limit the grade as it truly looks like a coin that should have graded a
few points higher. So much eye appeal on this one. |
