1909-S Lincoln Cent PCGS MS65BN |

The 1909-S Lincoln Cent has the fourth lowest mintage of all regular issue Lincoln Cents and is a semi-key-date in the series. However, the importance and rarity of the 1909-S Lincoln Cent is often overlooked given the popularity of both of the major key-date 1909 cents; the 1909-S Indian Cent and the 1909-S V.D.B. Lincoln Cent. Here is a 1909-S Lincoln Cent that has been graded MS65BN by PCGS and is encapsulated in a newer-style edge-view holder. Describing the coin as “brown” in color is not entirely accurate, however. The coin has beautifully streaky color on the obverse with lots of red, purple and pink color present. The reverse of the coin is a more uniform greenish-brown color that is quite attractive. The coin has great mint luster on both sides and is free of any distracting marks, hits or spots. A wonderful gem example of this popular date Lincoln Cent with tremendous overall eye appeal. |
