Mexican 2.5 Pesos gold coins are popular small gold coins that are often available in large quantities. Most examples that you will find will be 1945 dated coins which are often restrikes struck in later years. In contrast, the 1944 dated 2.5 Pesos Mexico gold coin has a relatively low mintage of only 20,000 coins. This example of the 1944-Mo Mexico 2.5 Pesos Gold has been graded MS66 by PCGS and is encapsulated in a newer-style edge-view holder. This coin also has the limited edition PCGS 30th anniversary retro green label which is a throwback to the old green label holders used by PCGS many years ago. A TrueView photo was taken by PCGS which captures the beauty of this coin in the best light. The coin is composed of .900 fine gold and contains .0603 oz. of actual gold weight. The small gold coin is bright and lustrous. To date, only four (4) examples of the 1944 Mexico 2.5 Peso have been graded MS66 by NGC with no examples grading finer. A pleasing top pop example of this low mintage small Mexican gold piece.
