This is a beautiful 1896 Morgan Silver Dollar which has been graded MS64 by PCGS and is encapsulated in an old green label holder which is approximately twenty years old. The coin completely toned on the obverse with a strong vibrant blue around the rim and red and gold color on the remainder of the piece. The reverse is untoned, bright and white in the center, and has really pretty blue, red and gold rim toning which has the look of a target focused on the eagle. There are a few marks and hits consistent with the grade and no major distractions. A slightly larger hit behind Liberty’s eye and a light fingerprint in the toning at the upper obverse
are of note. A very attractive near-gem toned Morgan Dollar in the old PCGS green label holder. |
