1896 Morgan Dollar PCGS MS64 DOILY SOLD
1896 Morgan Dollar PCGS MS64 DOILY
Here is an 1896 Morgan Silver Dollar which has been graded MS64 by PCGS and is housed in one of the very rare Doily label PCGS holders. This version of the PCGS holder was only used for a couple of weeks during late-1989 before it was quickly phased out. Accordingly, it has been reported that only a few hundred coins in this style of holder are known to exist today and they are highly sought after by collectors. The coin lightly toned on each side with a mostly golden color. The mint luster of the coin is also good, but slightly muted by the golden color on each side. The coin appears to be a nice example for the assigned grade with no major issues of note. Please note the holder itself has been damaged and is completely missing the outer stacking ring that is normally found on the Doily style holder. Overall, this is a nice, lightly toned Morgan Silver Dollar in the rare PCGS Doily holder that is unfortunately missing its outer ring.
