Brilliant Proof Buffalo Nickels are one of my favorite types of coins as they are just so fun to look at. But seeing one with cameo contrast on the devices is so much more stunning. This is a 1937 Proof Buffalo Nickel which has been graded PR67CAM by PCGS. To date, PCGS has only certified thirteen (13) Proof Buffalo Nickels with the Cameo designation and only six (6) of them have received the grade of PR67CAM with none grading higher. Given the possibility of regraded coins and the likelihood that several are in high end type collections unlikely to come to market in the near future, the opportunity to obtain any Cameo Proof Buffalo Nickel, particularly in the top pop grade, is not likely to be a regular occasion. The coin is bright white and steel blue color with amazingly reflective mirrors having no marks of note. The devices are nicely frosted giving the coin amazing overall eye appeal. The photos only begin to do this coin justice. This coin would make a wonderful addition to any high-end Buffalo Nickel collection or U.S. Type Set.
