This 1952 Proof Washington Quarter has been graded PR67 by NGC and is encapsulated in a newer-style edge-view holder. The coin has nice mirrors and just a touch of toning mostly focused at the rims. There are no major marks, hits or issues of note, as you might expect on a coin of this grade. This coin is the FS-901 variety which is more commonly known as the “Superbird” variety as there is what appears to be a small letter S in the center of the eagle’s breast on the reverse, reminiscent of Superman. Please note that the variety has NOT been attributed on the holder by NGC, but it is no doubt the variety. A superb example of this popular proof Washington Quarter variety. |
