1921 Morgan Dollar ANACS MS64 VAM-3Y |

This 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar has been graded MS64 by ANACS. The coin has also been attributed by ANACS as being the VAM-3Y variety. The VAM-3Y variety is recognized primarily by the major die crack on the reverse through the eagle’s wing tip extending up above first S in STATES and above D in UNITED with displaced field of a break. The crack also runs through the top of STATES with double crack and break between ES. This coin shows the characteristic die cracks well and looks to be a relatively late die state as a portion of the field near the die crack appears to be somewhat displaced. The coin is bright white, untoned and quite lustrous. A few light marks are present, but the coin appears very nice for the assigned grade. An excellent near-gem example of the 1921 VAM-3Y Morgan Dollar. |
