1959 Franklin Half PCGS MS64 DOILY		SOLD

Here is a 1959 Franklin Half Dollar which has been graded MS64 by PCGS and is housed in one of the very rare Doily label PCGS holders. This version of the PCGS holder was only used for a couple of weeks during late-1989 before it was quickly phased out. Accordingly, it has been reported that only a few hundred coins in this style of holder are known to exist today and they are highly sought after by collectors. The coin is bright white and quite lustrous with just a few spots on each side and one larger area of discoloration near the bottom of the bell on the reverse. The two-piece Doily holder is in excellent condition with an outer stacking ring free of cracks and fully intact. A light scratch in the plastic holder on the obverse in front of the coin is also of note. A nice bright Franklin Half Dollar in the ultra-rare Doily holder!
