| For the 2016 Anaheim ANA World’s Fair of Money, China issued a special commemorative silver proof panda medal to celebrate the show and the 125th anniversary of the American Numismatic Association. A limited number of these medals were sold at the show each day and were quickly sold out at each offering. A total of 2,000 one ounce silver medals were minted and each was individually numbered. The obverse has a wonderful design featuring the obverse of the 1925 California Commemorative Half Dollar, the famous Hollywood sign, a Panda bear and a California Brown Bear. The reverse design features the ANA logo of the Lamp of Knowledge. This example of the 2016 China Panda Anaheim ANA Silver Medal has been graded PF70 Ultra Cameo by NGC and is encapsulated in a newer-style edge-view holder. This example is medal number 1477 and the original certificate of authenticity with matching serial number is included. As the grade suggests, this medal appears to be free of any issues of note and has wonderful overall eye appeal. A beautiful example of this popular piece from the 2016 Anaheim ANA show with a perfect grade. |
