This 1882-S Morgan Silver Dollar has been graded MS64* by NGC and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. The star designation is given by NGC to coins with exceptional eye appeal. This coin shows strong mint luster on each side and is quite flashy, as is typically the case of mint state dollars of this date. Both the obverse and the reverse of the coin each has a patch of colorful rainbow toning which covers roughly 20% of each side. The piece does have several small scuffs and marks, mostly focused on the high points of the obverse, which limit the numerical grade of the coin. Overall, this is a flashy mint state Morgan Dollar with a bit of pretty color on each side. |
