1930 Canada Cent NGC MS64RB |

Although relatively common in lower grades, the 1930 Canada Cent is a tough coin in mint state grades, particularly in the higher mint state grades and even more so with original red color. This 1930 Canada Cent has been graded MS64RB by NGC and is encapsulated in the newer-style edge-view holder. This cent has strong mint luster on both sides that cartwheel around the surfaces of the coin when rotated under a light. The obverse retains around two-thirds of the original mint red color while the reverse has about one-third of the original red remaining. A few hits and marks in the obverse fields likely limit the numerical grade of the coin as the reverse of the coin has look of a coin grading a point higher. The piece has excellent overall eye appeal with no major distractions when viewed in hand. A few tiny spots are of note which only are noticeable under magnification and in the close up photos provided. A beautiful near gem example of this tougher date Canadian cent. |
