1833 Capped Bust Half Dollar O-102 NGC MS61		SOLD

Here is an 1833 Capped Bust Half Dollar which has been graded MS61 by NGC and is encapsulated in a newer-style edge-view holder. The coin has also been attributed as being the Overton 102 variety. As the grade suggests, the coin has no traces of wear and exhibits strong original detail. The coin has decent original mint luster that appears to be only slightly muted. The slightly muted luster and some light hairlines likely account for the relatively low mint state grade assigned to the coin, but for the grade the coin has a nice overall look. The coin is mostly light grey in color with some light to moderate blue toning with hints of red color focused around the rims. The coin has some light marks and hits scattered about, but is free of any major issues. A decent looking mint state example of the Capped Bust Half Dollar.
