Here is a wonderfully toned 1989 Silver Eagle which has been graded MS68 by PCGS. American Silver Eagles are one ounce .999 fine silver and are known around the World. Colorfully toned Silver Eagles can be found as pure silver is quite susceptible to toning. However, finding an example with eye appealing color on both sides of the coin is somewhat more difficult. The example here has attractive purple and blue colors that surround the rims on both sides, but which are more concentrated on the obverse. The coin has extraordinary eye appeal and is an amazing example of the date.
