Here is a beautiful commemorative issue from Greece issued for the centennial of the Royal Greek Dynasty 1863-1963. The obverse features the portraits of the five kings who ruled Greece from 1863 to 1963 (George I, Constantine I, Alexander I, George II and Paul I). The reverse of the coin has a wonderfully detailed map of Greece. This example of the 1963 Greece 30 Drachmai Royal Greek Dynasty Commemorative has been graded MS64 by NGC and is encapsulated in the newer-style edge-view holder. The coin is nearly fully toned on both sides and beautiful rainbow colors can be found on both sides of the coin, particularly near the rims. With the nice luster of the coin, the eye appeal is much greater in hand than shown in the photos provided. There are some small hits on each side of the coin which seemingly limit the grade of the coin, but they are difficult to notice and are very well hidden in the busy design of this coin. A very beautiful toned example of this popular Greek silver commemorative issue. |
