This (1960) China Sinkiang 1 Fen 5 Li Restrike has been graded MS64RB by PCGS and is encapsulated in the newer-style edge-view holder. The original coin was issued in 1906 and is a very scarce issue that typically found in low grades only. The coin is cataloged as Y-1a in the Krause reference. There appears to be a typographical error on the PCGS label incorrectly listing the date as 1960 instead of 1906. The coin is in amazing condition and is mostly a deep red color but has areas of pink, purple and even blue toning present. The fields are also slightly prooflike which adds to the overall eye appeal of this piece. The details of the coin are also very strong and the dragon design shows very well. There are no major marks, hits or other issues of note. The coin was also professionally imaged by PCGS for their CoinFacts service. A beautiful toned example of this popular restrike issue.
