This 1900-O Morgan Silver Dollar has been graded MS64 by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. Morgan Dollars of this date are relatively common and fairly inexpensive for the most part. However, this example is not your average coin for the grade. This example of the 1900-O Morgan Dollar has beautiful rainbow toning on the reverse which covers more than half of the coin. All of the colors of the rainbow are present and are in a double crescent cat’s eye pattern which is significantly more difficult to find than the much more common crescent toned silver dollars. The coin is bright and lustrous, but there are just enough small hits and marks to keep the numerical grade of the coin limited to MS64. I had difficulty capturing the color of this coin accurately and feel the color is brighter and more vibrant in hand than my photos show. If you like the photos, you will love the coin even more in hand. An eye appealing example of the Morgan Silver Dollar with vibrant cat’s eye rainbow toning.
Because of the difficulty in capturing the overall look of the coin in a single image, I have also included a short high-definition video of the coin towards the bottom of this listing in an attempt to give you a better idea of what this coin will look like in hand. Please note that you may need to adjust the video quality to 1080p and may need to increase the size of the video to full screen in order to see the coin in maximum detail. |
