1897 Liberty Nickel PCGS MS65+ CAC SOLD
1897 Liberty Nickel PCGS MS65+ CAC
This 1897 Liberty Nickel has been graded MS65+ by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. The coin has also been certified by CAC as being solid for the assigned grade. The coin is extremely lustrous and is toned in an even light golden color on both sides. The piece is very well struck with full details in all areas of the coin. There are no major hits, marks or spotting on the coin. Only a couple of tiny light hits on the reverse and a hardly noticeable light haze on parts of the obverse when tilted out of the light could have accounted for the grade being limited to MS65+. A beautiful gem Liberty Nickel with the plus grade.
