This 1901 Morgan Silver Dollar has been graded AU55 by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of their newer-style edge-view holders. This lightly circulated better date silver dollar has medium to dark golden brown toning that completely covers the obverse. Despite the thick toning, the coin is quite flashy and the luster is strong. Evidence of light circulation is present and some small hits and marks can also be found on the high points of the design, although they are somewhat hidden by the toning. The reverse is less toned, but with similar medium-dark golden brown colors, though trace amounts of brighter more vibrant colors are present upon close inspection near the denomination at the lower reverse although they do not show in the somewhat dark photos. A very original looking lightly circulated better date Morgan Dollar. |
