This 1844 Great Britain Queen Victoria Silver Crown has been graded VF30 by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of their newer-style edge-view holders. The piece shows moderate, but very even, circulation wear which results in an attractive overall look. The color of the piece is also quite attractive with somewhat darker grey fields and somewhat lighter devices. Some minor handling marks can be found under a close inspection, but there is nothing major or distracting of note. The 1844 Crown is the first regular issue crown featuring the young Queen Victoria and with a mintage of only 94,000 pieces, it is an issue that is in high demand in all grades. |
