Many dates of high grade silver coinage from early 20th Century Germany are not rare. However, once you reach the MS66+ grade, the number of coins out there become much fewer. And if you are looking for an example with attractive rainbow toning, the number of coins becomes even fewer. This 1905-A Germany 1/2 Mark has been graded MS66+ by PCGS and is encapsulated in the newer-style edge-view holder. The coin has a strong strike, bright lustrous surfaces and eye appealing rainbow toning on both sides. No major distractions or issues are of note on this piece. Please note the photos of the coin are slightly darker than the coin appears in hand under good lighting and there is quite a bit more color on the piece that show in hand, but show as darkness in the photos. A beautiful high-grade silver piece from Germany. |
