1737 Great Britain 2 Pence Maundy PCGS MS62		$275

It has been the tradition for several centuries for the United Kingdom's monarch to distribute Maundy Money each year to selected elderly. This 1737 Great Britain Maundy 2 Pence has been graded MS62 by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of their newer-style edge-view holders. Although the coin appears to be a relatively even medium-grey color in the photos, the coin also shows some colorful toning when tilted into the light which does not show in the photos. The color is quite attractive and nearly all of the colors of the rainbow are present. The coin is free of major marks and the many fine lines which show in the fields are primarily die polish lines. A wonderfully attractive early Maundy piece.
