This 1896-1903 China Fukien 5 Cents has been graded AU55 by PCGS and is encapsulated in the newer-style edge-view holder. The coin is cataloged as Y-102 and LM-298. According to the Krause reference, the legend reads “Kuang-hsü Yüan-pao.” The coin exhibits nice detail and strong original mint luster. The dragon design is also very impressive. Light grey in color, the coin exhibits only minor circulation marks and is free of significant issues. The coin was also professionally imaged by PCGS for their CoinFacts service. The PCGS Price Guide lists the value of this coin at $284. An overall nice, near mint state example of the type.
