| This is one of the most attractive Seated Liberty Quarters I have owned. This 1876 Seated Liberty Quarter Dollar has been graded MS64 by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. The well-struck coin is fully proof-like on both sides. Compare the close up photos which were taken with direct light focused on the mirrored surfaces versus the slab photos which were not. Both sides of the coin are also attractively toned with a light golden color across the majority of the surfaces which deepens to an eye appealing lilac color near parts of the rims. The coin has several small marks which show easily in the mirrored fields, but they really do not distract as the impressive proof-like fields and toning of this coin really draw the eye more than anything else. If you like the coin even a little from the photos, you will absolutely love it in hand. A spectacular quarter minted in our nation’s centennial year. |
