This 1922 Peace Dollar has been graded MS63 by NGC. This coin has amazing colorful toning, particularly for a Peace Dollar. The dollar also exhibits strong luster which really makes the colorful toning pop. The obverse is almost fully covered in toning; about half covered in a golden tone and the other half with a mostly blue, purple and red color with a transition between the colors of bright orange. The reverse is mostly a very light golden color, but a couple of areas of colorful toning are present at parts of the rim. In particular, the PEACE legend at the lower reverse is highlighted with vibrant color. There are some light marks on the coin and a couple of scratches as well, seemingly limiting the grade to MS63. But with the impressive eye appeal of this coin, the numerical grade becomes much less relevant when looking at this coin in hand.
Because of the difficulty in capturing the overall look of the coin in a single image, I have also included a short high-definition video of the coin towards the bottom of this listing in an attempt to give you a better idea of what this coin will look like in hand. Please note that you may need to adjust the video quality to 1080p and may need to increase the size of the video to full screen in order to see the coin in maximum detail. |
