Here is a 1909-O Barber Quarter which has been graded VF35 by PCGS and is encapsulated in a newer-style edge-view holder. The coin is a light grey color overall and shows all of the detail quite well. Several light hits and some light hairlines are present on the coin, but none are significant or out of the ordinary for the assigned grade.
The 1909-O Barber Quarter is much tougher than many collectors realize and because of that the values of this date have increased substantially in recent years. Because of the high collector demand for this date, in just about any grade, the 1909-O quarter often trades at significant premiums to just about any price guide out there. A decent example of the tough 1909-O Barber Quarter for the grade.
