Here is an 1880-S Morgan Silver Dollar which has been graded MS64 by PCGS and is encapsulated in a newer-style edge-view holder. This is not your average MS64 Morgan Dollar, however. The coin has strong prooflike fields on both sides, though seemingly just short of what is required to earn a PL designation from the grading service. The piece is bright white on the obverse and fully toned on the reverse. The reverse toning is mostly bright golden in color, but hints of orange, red and even blue are also present along parts of the rim. A beautiful near-gem Morgan Dollar with lots of flash and pretty color. |
