1936 Boone Half PCGS MS67+ CAC |

When it comes to a U.S. commemorative issue, you would usually think that a mintage of only 12,012 pieces would be considered low mintage. Although that was the mintage of the 1936 Daniel Boone Bicentennial Commemorative Half Dollar, it was also the highest mintage of the various Boone commemoratives issued between 1934 and 1938. However, only a handful of examples can be compared with the overall quality of this piece offered here. This 1936 Daniel Boone Bicentennial Commemorative Half Dollar graded MS67+ by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. The coin has also been certified by CAC
as being solid for the assigned grade. A TrueView photo was taken by PCGS which captures the beauty of this coin in the best light. This is the only example of the 1936 Boone which has been graded MS67+ by PCGS with only
four (4) examples grading higher at MS68 and those MS68 examples will
run well into the five-figures for each coin! The coin is very bright and lustrous as you would expect on a superb gem coin with only a few tiny marks which are noticeable under close inspection. The coin also has a small amount of original colorful toning at the lower obverse and upper reverse. This is the coin you need if you're building one of the best of the best classic commemorative sets. |
