1857 Flying Eagle Cent FS-401b Obverse of 1856 PCGS AU55		SOLD

This 1857 Flying Eagle Cent has been graded AU55 by PCGS and is encapsulated in one of the newer-style edge-view holders. This coin has the obverse lettering style which matches that of the famous 1856 Flying Eagle Cent and is attributed as the FS-401b variety as listed in the Cherrypickers’ Guide. The coin is decent lightly circulated example of the variety with a nice even color and no noticeable spotting. The only issue of note is a tiny scratch near the D of UNITED on the obverse. An excellent example of this interesting Flying Eagle Cent variety.
