1926 Sesquicentennial Half Dollar PCGS MS64 SOLD
1926 Sesquicentennial Half Dollar PCGS MS64
Have you ever seen a Sesquicentennial Half Dollar with toning this beautiful? If you have, you should have bought that coin! If you didn't buy that coin, I'm guessing it was priced much higher than the premium I am asking on this amazing example. This 1926 Sesquicentennial of American Independence Commemorative Half Dollar has been graded MS64 by PCGS and is housed in one of the newer style edge-view holders. A total of 141,120 example of this classic commemorative were minted. The obverse depicts the first President of the United States, George Washington, alongside the then current President of the United States, Calvin Coolidge. The reverse shows a very nice rendition of the Liberty Bell. As you may know, most examples of this issue come somewhat flat or dull and rarely do you find one with decent toning, let alone one with monster toning. This coin is that rare find! The coin does have several small contact marks that are appropriate for the grade, but none are major and they are well hidden in the beautiful color. The toning of this coin is almost unbeatable. Both the obverse and reverse of the coin are fully toned with practically every color in the spectrum. The great luster of the coin further adds to the eye appeal. Not your average Sesquicentennial Half Dollar! Although I am asking a significant premium for the amazing eye appeal of this coin, the coin is still priced below the average price of boring looking examples that grade only one point higher.
