1868 Parmelee, Webster & Co. Grant Token R-NY-243A NGC MS64RB SOLD
1868 Parmelee, Webster & Co. Grant R-NY-243A NGC MS64RB
Here is an 1868 Parmelee, Webster & Co. Trade Token which has been graded MS64RB by NGC and is encapsulated in the newer-style edge-view holder. This token is attributed as R-NY-NY-243A as referenced on the label. Although the token says Pure Aluminum on the reverse, the piece here is clearly not made of aluminum, but is instead struck from copper. The obverse features a detailed bust of General U.S. Grant, who was elected President in 1868. The token is very close to being full red and the fields are also quite prooflike. A very high-end example of this token.
