This 1788-L IJ Peru Silver 8 Reales has been certified as Genuine by PCGS with Fine Details. The coin exhibits numerous chop marks on both sides, over 50 in total, and therefore did not receive a numerical grade because of this post minting damage. The coin has attractive toning on each side that is concentrated along the rims. The chop marks add to the overall character of this large silver 18th Century coin.
