1972 Type 1 Eisenhower Dollar PCGS MS65 |

There are three major reverse die varieties of 1972 copper-nickel clad Eisenhower Dollars. The primary pick up point for identifying each variety is the Earth above the eagle. On the Type 1 reverse, the island nations are shown to the south and east of Florida. This 1972 Type 1 Eisenhower Dollar has been graded MS65 by PCGS. A TrueView photo was taken by PCGS which captures the beauty of this coin in the best light. The coin is very bright and lustrous with an attractive crescent of rainbow toning across the obverse. The reverse also has some subtle color around the rims which further adds to the eye appeal. Some light marks are scattered about and a somewhat larger hit can be found hidden on the eagle on the reverse, but the luster and color of this coin stand above any such minor issues. The overall eye appeal of this coin is amazing; much better than the PCGS TrueView photos show. A very beautiful gem example of the Type 1 1972 Eisenhower Dollar. |
