Here is a 1923-D Peace Dollar which has been graded MS64 by PCGS and is encapsulated in an old green label holder which is approximately twenty years old. The coin is almost free of toning with just a touch of speckled color along the lower and right rim on the obverse. Otherwise, this silver dollar is bright white and has very strong original mint luster. Some minor hits and marks and some slight haze on the obverse may have kept this coin from earning a gem grade from the grading service, but it is nevertheless a strong example for the grade. A flashy, near-gem Peace Dollar in the older style PCGS holder. |
