1948-Mo Mexico 5 Pesos Silver PCGS MS66 |

The 1948-Mo Mexico Silver 5 Peso is made from .900 fine silver and is slightly larger than a United States silver dollar. The obverse of this two-year only type coin features the image of the Aztec emperor Cuauhtemoc who is wearing a very ornate headdress. This example of the 1948-Mo Mexico 5 Peso has been graded MS66 by PCGS and is encapsulated in the newer-style edge-view holder. The coin is fully toned on both sides with an interesting toning pattern which may indicate the coin could have been stored in a roll for some time. The coin has the full rainbow of colors on both sides but has somewhat dark and inconsistent toning as well. The mint luster of the piece remains strong and the coin appears to be well struck with full details of this intricate design present. A nice high-grade example of this beautiful Mexican coin with interesting toning. |
