1857 Small Date Large Cent PCGS MS64BN CAC		SOLD

This 1857 Small Date Large Cent has been graded MS64BN by PCGS. The coin has also been certified by CAC as being solid for the assigned grade. This final year large cent is mostly a medium brown in color with a fair amount of original mint red color that remains in the protected areas of the obverse. The coin has nice luster and is free of spotting or distracting discolorations. Just a few small marks can be found under a close inspection which seemingly prevent a higher numerical grade. Please note that the PCGS holder does have some fine scratches, particularly on the reverse, but those marks are not on the coin itself. An excellent example of the last of the Large Cents.
