|
The 1972 Canada Voyageur Silver Dollar is composed of 50% fine silver with an actual silver weight of 0.375 ounces and features a proof-like finish. The obverse depicts a re-engraved version of the "Mature Head" Queen Elizabeth II which shows considerable detail. The reverse features a re-engraved version of traditional voyageur design of Canadian silver dollars with the Indian and the voyageur in the canoe. This example of the 1972 Canada Voyageur Silver Dollar has been graded SP67 by PCGS. The coin has been imaged by PCGS for their CoinFacts subscription service. When tilted into direct light, the toning of this piece comes to life. The obverse of the coin is mostly white with a slightly hazy toning over the surfaces that transitions from a thin layer of orange color to a nice medium blue color towards the rim. The reverse of the coin is mostly bright white and very lustrous with just a faint blue color present. An overall nice example of the type. |
